So here you are. You’ve got this…tiny germ of an idea.

There’s this face that pops up in your mind, a blend of people; your annoying sister and your Uncle Charlie and that kid you keep seeing at the bus stop, the one with the sad face who always carries a shoebox tied up with string.

And there’s also this voice, this really annoying voice that talks when you’re trying to watch TV or do your homework or listen sympathetically to that friend going through the tragic breakup.

And you just know that voice has a body to go with it. And attitude. And behaviours.

And something that it really really wants to do (the motivation) except for that thing that’s stopping it (the obstacle)…

And….I think your play may have just got itself started…
