Boot (2012)


Dana has learned to be silent. She doesn’t want to talk about that night. But when her best friend lies about the tragic accident, she decides she has something to say.

BOOT was devised and developed at the 2010 Fresh Ink National Studio, and first performed in February 2011, by Laura, as part of THE VOICES PROJECT: TELL IT LIKE IT ISN’T. The monologue, along with 20 other works from THE VOICES PROJECT, is available to purchase from Currency Press.

BOOT has also been adapted into BOOT, a short film directed by Damien Power, and adapted by Damien and Joanna from this monologue.
